Azure Resort: Sign Plan

This project establishes a sign plan for the Bahamian resort, Azure. This plan includes branded site identification signs and wayfinding signs. The materials and forms are designed to match the architecture of the resort.

Process

I began by analyzing the decision points of vehicles and pedestrians on the resort grounds. This would determine where the signs would be placed.

I used Google Sheets to create a sign list based on the decision locations.

Sketches

After doing several series of hand sketches, I decided on a simple concrete slab that included a curved motif at the top left of each sign. This motif imitates the door frames of each building at the resort, a signature of the resort’s Greek-style architecture.
